Our goal for The Sound of Violet is to have wide distribution, first in theaters and then on streaming platforms.

If our movie is advertised publicly, we would be unable to partner with a distribution company because those screenings would be considered the distribution of our film. As long as the movie is only being shown to members of organizations through private screenings, we do not jeopardize our ability to distribute widely later.

The purpose of these advanced private screenings is to allow organizations to raise funding and awareness for these critical issues while building awareness for the movie.

In the future, there will be a time when the movie will be publicly distributed, and at that time, we could partner again for another screening – even a screening in a theater – that you could advertise publicly.
