Los Angeles, CA – Allen Wolf’s romantic comedy THE SOUND OF VIOLET is now available to watch or own on Digital, Blu-Ray, and DVD. Written, directed, and produced by Allen Wolf and based on his award-winning novel, THE SOUND OF VIOLET stars Cason Thomas and Cora Cleary in their feature debuts alongside Jan D’Arcy, Kaelon Christopher, Michael E. Bell, and Tyler Roy Roberts.

Desperate to find a wife, Shawn (Thomas) meets Violet (Cleary) and thinks she’s his perfect soulmate, but his autism keeps him from realizing she’s actually a prostitute looking for a ticket out of her trapped life.

“I’m excited for everyone to be able to experience THE SOUND OF VIOLET after we had such an enthusiastic response from audiences when the film showed in movie theaters. It’s been a thrill to see my novel come to life on the screen and to hear from the many people who loved the movie and could relate to its themes,” said Allen Wolf.

At a Q&A after a screening in New York City, Wolf recalls how a woman told the audience she’s a former ‘Violet’ and said she loved how the romantic comedy was “all about hope and reminded me of the importance of loving people, understanding people for who they are, where they are, and loving them anyway.” At other Q&A screenings, autistic audience members told Wolf how much they could relate to the main character’s challenging dating journey, portrayed by neurodivergent actor Cason Thomas whose own mother is a former prostitute.

THE SOUND OF VIOLET on Apple TV, Blu-Ray, and DVD features bonus content, including filmmaker and cast discussions on the making of the film, the composer discussing the creation of the score, with the Blu-Ray and DVD exclusively featuring the director’s commentary with the lead cast, and the music video “Anywhere But Here” from 5-time Grammy Nominee Brandon Heath. The film is available to buy or rent on Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, and Vudu, and is available with subtitles in Español on VOD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
